Kerbo Charge cable channel goes live with Milton Keynes City Council

no driveway ev charging

The Kerbo Charge cable channel has just gone live in Milton Keynes City, and it's already making a huge impact to the first customers receiving. With more and more people switching to electric cars, the demand for charging facilities has never been higher. However, for those who don't have a driveway or access to a private charging point, finding a place to charge is currently inconvenient and expensive.

The cable channel is a simple but effective solution that allows electric car owners to charge their vehicles using a cable that runs from the street to their home. The channel is a low-profile polymer channel that sits flush with the pavement, so it doesn't cause any obstructions or trip hazards.

It has a patented self closing lid that snaps down shut as you insert and remove your charging cable. The channel is fully weather-resistant and built to the British Standard for all pavement gully products.

It’s very shallow (32mm) which means the total installation time by council engineers is only around one hour.

Residents taking part in the trial are excited about the prospect of being able to charge their electric cars at home and no longer having to worry about finding a public charging point. It's a positive step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable living in the area.

Overall, the Kerbo Charge cable channel is an innovative solution to a common problem. It's an affordable and accessible way for electric car owners without off-street parking to charge their vehicles at home. The launch of the cable channel in Milton Keynes City is a significant milestone and demonstrates the commitment of the local council to promoting sustainable living and reducing carbon emissions.
