Charge your electric car at home in Slough, even without a driveway

Slough is becoming increasingly accommodating to electric vehicle owners as public charging networks expand and home EV charging becomes a more popular option for local residents.

For those living in suburban areas such as Langley, Cippenham, Wexham, or Farnham Royal, where homes are more likely to have driveways or garages, home EV charger installation offers a convenient and cost-effective way to charge an electric vehicle.

The council’s efforts to support on-street EV charging infrastructure are equally important, particularly in more densely populated areas such as Central Slough, Chalvey, Upton, and parts of Britwell, where terraced housing and flats are common. Many residents in these neighbourhoods do not have access to private driveways and instead rely on on-street parking.

Our cross-pavement channel allows residents to install a cable gully into the pavement outside their home and easily charge on the street without causing hazards, and you can save around £4,000 per year compared to using public charging.

Slough Borough Council kicked off a trial of Kerbo Charge in 2026, initially for 20 residents.
